He just covers very basic ideas and his tonality is horrible.
The manner which he covers various topics gives me the impression that his skill level is far below those of his competitors. You know what I'm talking about if you've ever heard or seen other competitors.
Actually, I have to disagree.
What makes you think his tonality is horrible?
Yeah, granted they are basic ideas, but most of the people who visit this blog are beginners.
Lance's skill level is amazing. He is easily one of the best in the world. Mystery and Lance we're wings and did dual-bootcamps.
His voice is gravelly and monotone. He needs to work on his voice if he is going to continue to present himself to people. He also has too many "you know's", it's kinda irratating. Oh, I have no doubt he could out pick-up all but about 10 guys on the planet, but nobody is perfect. He needs to see a voice coach.

Luckily you're not trying to qualify him. Those gravelly and monotone voices just aren't attractive. Look at the content mate. I'm sure it's the recording more so than his voice :)
I have heard quite a bit of the both of them. I personally don't find David D monotonous at all - he speaks quite powerfully and just doesn't get animated which can be annoying sometimes anyway.
One thing that does grate me a little about the way lance speaks is all the "hey girls, did you know that like, my pet puppy is like the cutest in the like world?" especially when he goes into "demo sarging mode" :P
But hey - as you say. Content is the main thing. And I guess it is just doing what most girls do anyway so maybe they relate ;)
